  • And I'm off at 4:30 am in the morning. Five passes, here I come!
  • There aren't that many people at the top of Monitor Pass this early in the morning.
  • One pass down, four to go!
  • The monument at the top of Monitor Pass.
  • At Topaz Point, I drop off my jacket, knee warmers, and bike lights.
  • I came from all the way down there?!?
  • Riders slowly make their way up the backside of Monitor Pass.
  • It's slow going up, but fast coming down the backside of Monitor Pass.
  • A rider ascends the backside of Monitor Pass.
  • Getting ready for the ascent of Ebbets Pass at the Scossa's Cow Camp Rest Stop.
  • A lot more cyclists are filling up the rest stops.
  • That umbrella looks mighty fine right about now.
  • An hour later and I'm almost to the top of Ebbets Pass. Only 730 more feet to go!
